1. Who can use Maddy
You must be 18 or older to create an account. By signing up you confirm you meet that age.
2. What Maddy is (and isn't)
Maddy is an AI companion designed to feel like a best friend. She is not a licensed therapist, counselor, doctor, lawyer, or crisis line. Nothing she says is medical, legal, or mental-health advice. If you are in crisis, use the resources on our Crisis Resources page.
3. Your account
- Keep your login credentials safe and don't share them.
- One account per person. Don't impersonate others.
- You're responsible for everything sent from your account.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Maddy to:
- Harass, threaten, or endanger anyone.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, non-consenting people, or real identifiable individuals without their consent.
- Attempt to extract Maddy's system prompts, jailbreak the safety system, or build a derivative product.
- Violate any applicable law.
5. Content & ownership
You own the messages you send. Maddy's replies are generated on your behalf; you may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes. You grant us a limited license to store and process your content to provide the service.
6. Paid plans
If you subscribe, billing terms appear at checkout. You can cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
8. Disclaimer & liability
Maddy is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or US$100 if that's greater).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app. Continued use means you accept the update.
